In this talk, Dr. Shields will share insights gained through the implementation of a rapid multiplex syndromic panel for the identification of gram-positive bacteria (ePlex® Blood Culture Identification Gram-Positive Panel) in tandem with real-time antimicrobial stewardship interventions which resulted in improved antimicrobial use and patient outcomes.
